Mr. Rothrock joined CompBenefits in 2003 as president and chief operating officer. He was appointed chief executive officer in July 2004 and chairman in May 2006.
He has twenty years experience in the employee benefits industry, holding positions with Blue Cross & Blue Shield, EMPHESYS Financial Group, Humana, and CIGNA. His career has spanned a broad spectrum of functions including sales, sales management, product management, operations management and provider contracting and management.
Prior to joining CompBenefits, Mr. Rothrock served as president of Intracorp where his focus on sales and account management processes ultimately drove company earnings to record highs beginning in 1999 and proceeding through 2002. Before joining Intracorp, Mr. Rothrock was senior vice president for Humana where he managed a variety of specialty benefits including dental, disability, life insurance, managed worker's compensation, section 125 flexible spending account administration and international development.
