A veteran with over 20 years in the high tech industry, Kirk Cruikshank has served as a strategic advisor and board member at several companies including newScale, Cascadeworks (acquired by Elance), Onlink (acquired by Siebel Systems) and Determine Software. Prior to these positions Cruikshank was president and CEO of TradingDynamics where he was credited with building one of the first B2B trading applications for public and private Internet marketplaces. He successfully negotiated the acquisition of Trading Dynamics by Ariba Software in 2000, where he then served as executive vice president of marketing. Previously Cruikshank was senior vice president of marketing for Arbor Software (now Hyperion Solutions). Called the "father of OLAP" he helped grow Arbor from a venture-backed start-up with 32 people to a publicly traded company with more than 450 people and annual revenues in excess of $82 million. Cruikshank also held various executive positions at Grid Systems (acquired by Tandy), EDS, Rolm and Intercomp. |
