Mr. Richards, a Certified Public Accountant, founded Gravity Financial in 2002 and has spent his 17 year career providing tax and accounting services to pooled investment products. He has spent over three years as the Chief Financial Officer for a hedge fund manager, which managed five funds that encompassed two investment strategies focused on long/short equity. Prior to his time as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Richards was a Director of the Partnership Tax and Administration for a Boston area financial institution, where he oversaw financial and tax accounting and compliance for nearly 30 alternative investment funds. Mr. Richards was also a Senior Tax Manager for the Big 4 professional services firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where he was largely responsible for coordinating and providing the tax services to over one hundred pooled investment products. Mr. Richards has twice been the author of industry related articles published in the Journal of Taxation and has a Masters Degree in Taxation and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Northeastern University. |
