Practice Emphasis Litigation, Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury Defense Professional Experience Kirby Smith is a shareholder in Lionel Sawyer & Collins' Litigation Department. His practice emphasis is on employer representation in workers' compensation cases and personal injury defense, including mass torts. He is also experienced in the bankruptcy, transactional and administrative law areas of the Firm's practice. Most recently, he was counsel for one of the pharmaceutical defendants in the fen-phen class action in Nevada, and was managing attorney in Nevada for the target defendant in both the Rezulin product liability litigation and the Silzone liability litigation. Mr. Smith has lectured on workers' compensation issues and taught administrative law at Clark County Community College. He is a state approved Arbitrator in Nevada. Mr. Smith has an AV rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Directory.
