Kimberly Peterson is a self-taught programmer and interface developer who is passionate about usability and elegant software design. She started her career in fashion retailing working for Polo Ralph Lauren as a technology manager supporting their store development department. After spending a year conceiving, producing and deploying an interactive kiosk concept for the Polo Jeans Co. stores, she decided to make the switch to software consulting. Kimberly spent two years working for Evolution Online Systems, developing e-commerce interfaces for bluefly.com and eyeglasses.com, among others, before founding clue inc in March of 2000. She has been the driving force behind clue's development of their scalable, reusable component architecture--focusing on tools that can be rapidly deployed for managing data as diverse as complex architectural documents, accounting data and product inventory. She also donates time to local artists and musicians, helping them promote themselves online with custom designed mailing list management tools, photo albums, and digital playlists and providing low-cost packaging and website design and maintenance. She received her BA from Williams College in English Literature and French Language and finds learning new programming languages as exciting as translating Anglo Saxon poetry. |
