Ms. Fahrbach is a general litigation associate concentrating her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, medical malpractice, employment matters, and municipal law.
While in law school, Ms. Fahrbach served as an executive articles editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. She was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and won Chicago-Kent's Ilana Diamond Rovner Appellate Advocacy Competition. Ms. Fahrbach also represented Chicago Kent on a national Moot Court team.
She is a certified arbitrator for Cook County arbitration program.
Experience
Ms. Fahrbach worked as a judicial appellate clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Colwell, Illinois Appellate Court, Second District, for a two-year term upon graduating law school. After her clerkship, she worked as a litigation attorney for a law firm in Itasca, Illinois, until she joined the Chicago office in March 2003.
Ms. Fahrbach has tried several cases at the state and federal level and has argued before the Illinois Appellate Court. She has experience litigating a wide variety of cases, including issues involving the Fair Labor Standards Act, zoning and land use, law enforcement liability, and other constitutional violations under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, including racial profiling and a police officer’s use of deadly force.
Ms. Fahrbach has given training seminars on police liability issues at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College of DuPage and with the FBI’s Midwest Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar.
