Leading Apria’s legislative and regulatory relations efforts on Capitol Hill and in Baltimore is Ms. Rogers-Bowers. Kimberlie also leads educational initiatives with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS); interfaces with the Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carriers (DMERCs) and is responsible for training Apria employees concerning compliance with billing and collections laws, policies and procedures. Kimberlie has led Apria’s participation in a number of industry initiatives, including the development of home care supplier standards, guiding CMS on its competitive bidding demonstration project for oxygen services and various DME items; educating legislators about the implications of inherent reasonableness (IR) and consolidated billing. Kimberlie is also responsible for billing due diligence and the integration of Apria’s acquisitions. She holds a seat on numerous industry and trade organization boards and represents Apria to all four DMERCs and the National Supplier Clearinghouse. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Medicare Committee of the Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers, she was recognized by the association for Outstanding Leadership and Vision. Kimberlie is also a Board member with the state association, and was appointed in 2003 to chair the Regulatory Committee of the American Association for Homecare. She was promoted to her current title of senior vice president of regulatory affairs and acquisition integration in November of 2002. Kimberlie has a bachelor’s degree in speech communications and associate’s degree in radio and television communications. |
