Kim Nelson serves as Complex Litigation Project Manager at Faegre & Benson. In that role, she has served as the principal manager on document-related and technology issues on major national litigation matters, including complex class actions. These matters have involved discovery requests amounting to several million pages and retrieval sites located throughout the U.S. and Canada. Her responsibilities have included: Developing an organizational strategy and structure, including technology and human resources, for overall litigation administration, document review, retrieval, imaging, coding, and disposition Overseeing document security issues according to client and firm specifications Serving as principal liaison with the client on administrative and document issues Developing and adhering to project budgets and timelines Managing resources, including firm technology, litigation support personnel and outside vendors Coordinating communications among internal and external team members Kim has worked at Faegre & Benson and in the legal industry for over a decade. She served as a Paralegal for several years before helping the firm design and implement the position of Project Manager for Complex Litigation matters. She has worked with many of the firm’s senior litigation partners.Kim is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, obtained her paralegal degree from North Hennepin Community College and her Project Management Certification from the University of St. Thomas. |
