Kieran F. Athy is Sr. Vice President, Customer Operations. Kieran joined Globalcom in March 2006 and is responsible for all product development, management, and deployment of Globalcom's product family. With over 17 years of industry experience, Mr. Athy has held Executive positions at Lucent, Allegiance Telecom and CIMCO. He started his career with Lucent Technologies, where his roles included technical support engineering, marketing for emerging markets, traffic engineering, and finally, Global Sales Director for the MFS/WorldCom account. At Allegiance Telecom, he served as the Vice President of Strategy and Integrity with operational auditing, revenue assurance and corporate strategy as his primary responsibilities. He had several other key roles at Allegiance including engineering, service delivery, marketing, product management, and acquisition integration. Most recently, Mr. Athy was the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at CIMCO Communications, responsible for the architecture, engineering, network planning, and support of the voice and data network. Kieran was integral in devising and implementing the plan to evolve CIMCO from a non-facility to facility-based carrier. He has an MBA in Marketing/Strategy from Northwestern (Kellogg) University; an MSEE, with a concentration in Computer Engineering/Telecommunications, from Illinois Institute of Technology; and a BSEE from University of Illinois, Chicago. Kieran has served on the advisory boards of Vina Technologies, Iptima, and Optim Systems. He currently is on the advisory board of Consentry Networks and MDIAccess. |
