Kian Saneii is general manager Websense Wireless Division and vice president Websense Inc.. Websense Wireless was established to extend Websense's industry-leading web filtering and web security technology to optimize and protect the mobile internet environment. As Websense vice president Saneii leads Websense's non-core OEM opportunities.
As general manager Saneii is responsible for working with wireless network equipment manufacturers and wireless solution providers to assist carriers with handheld content filtering requirements and security issues as well as leading the Websense Wireless team which is focused solely on wireless opportunities worldwide.
Before joining Websense Saneii served as senior vice president worldwide marketing and business development for IPNet Solutions Inc. a leading provider of B-to-B integration and supply chain collaboration solutions. In this role he relaunched IPNet externally through superior marketing positioning while internally overseeing formal product management and education efforts. During his tenure with IPNet he also successfully developed a strategic partnership and investment relationship with Hewlett-Packard.
Before IPNet Saneii was senior vice president worldwide marketing and general manager of the West Coast operations for IMA Corp. a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) and eCRM products and services. In this position he managed an $11 million budget and more than 50 employees. Saneii initiated market-driven software manufacturing processes built IMA's business development team and created a formal worldwide partner program.
Prior to IMA Saneii served in management positions at FileNet Corp. DIS Research and AT&T Bell Laboratories. At FileNet a leading provider of business process management software solutions he grew revenues for the company's flagship product Visual WorkFlo by more than 200 percent within his first year of joining the company. At DIS Research Saneii was vice president sales and marketing where he oversaw the company's growth from $1 million to more than $36 million per year over a seven-year period.
Saneii served as vice president of the board of directors of the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM). A gifted speaker he has delivered presentations on a wide range of topics worldwide including customer interaction center technologies B2B solutions and the evolution of web filtering and web security. More recently he has spoken on the impact of emerging threats to employee computing environments such as spyware zero-day threats and peer-to-peer file sharing.
Saneii earned a B.S. with honors in computer science from New York University cum laude Phi Beta Kappa and received the NYU President's Award. He then received his M.S. in computer science from Rutgers University. |
