After working for various computer companies since 1971, Molloy relocated from Australia to New England in 1988. He has been a social runner all his life but in 1991 he founded a local running club and began directing the Groton Road Race, which he continued to do for ten successful and growing years. The event is regarded as one of the top New England 10K races and is a showpiece in the Massachusetts calendar. In 1995 Molloy also started a youth-based summer track-and-field program in Groton. He was also the Digital Running Club President in the same year. In June of 1995 he co-founded Cool Running and since then has helped to set the direction for the site. |
