Kevin Fong, a Managing Partner of Mayfield, provides leadership to the Mayfield partnership by ensuring that the fund remains a leading-edge venture partnership. He is an entrepreneur, a leader in the venture industry, a successful investor and a communications industry luminary. Kevin leads the communications group at Mayfield, whose investment focus is broadband communications equipment and services -- wireless, and optical and digital television infrastructure. Helping his portfolio companies achieve success through innovation, Kevin's approach to company formation is intense and focused.Kevin currently serves on the Board of Directors of ONStor, 3Par Data, Burst Wireless, Cierra Photonics, Desana Systems, Envive, MobShop, QuantumShift, Rearden Steel, Tiara Networks, Wireless Online and XStream Logic.Kevin was formerly on the Board of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, and is currently on the Board of Community Foundation Silicon Valley. He is the co-founder of Silicon Valley Social Ventures (SV2) and is an invited member of the American Leadership Forum.
