Kevin Comolli has been active in international start-up management and investment for 18 years. Kevin's primary focus is to expand Accel's pan-European technology investment activities.
Prior to joining Accel, Kevin was a London-based partner at Doughty Hanson & Co., a leading European private equity fund with over $3.0 billion under management, where he was responsible for the origination, execution, monitoring, and realization of pan-European transactions. Additionally, he was the founder of Doughty Hanson's technology fund initiative and has held board positions with companies in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Before joining Doughty Hanson & Co., Kevin served as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International, where he was responsible for the solicitation and execution of a full range of investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investing, and equity and debt financing.
Earlier in his career, Kevin worked for Fanuc Robotics, the world leader in industrial robotics and factory automation. Over his twelve-year career with Fanuc, he held various board, general management, sales, marketing, and engineering positions, including Managing Director, Germany; Managing Director, Italy; and Vice President, Europe.
Kevin has lived in Europe during the past 12 years, including two years in Milan, Italy; five years in Munich, Germany; and five years in London, England. Kevin speaks advanced German and conversational Italian.
In 1982, Kevin graduated with highest distinction from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. Later, he received his MBA from Harvard Business School through a full corporate scholarship from Fanuc Robotics. |
