Kevin Abel is President of Abel Solutions, a company that he founded in 1995 with his wife Cindy. Prior to forming Abel Solutions, Abel was with BellSouth Entertainment in Atlanta and Andersen Consulting in Dallas, Texas. A native of South Africa, Abel came to the United States with his family in 1979. He went to high school in Dallas, where he graduated Valedictorian of his class of 750 then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1987. Abel serves on the Board of Visitors for Grady Health System, the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center, and the Board of the Technology Association of Georgia. A member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2006, he is a former finalist for the Atlanta Small Business Person of the Year Award and was previously named to the Georgia Trend 40 under 40 list. He is a past Chairman of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council and a previous member of the Board of the Arthritis Foundation Georgia Chapter. |
