Assist clients in acquiring and preserving various land use entitlements including preparation of a vested rights submission in support of expanding an aggregate mine and responding to claims that a use permit expired.
Assist clients in complying with the California Environmental Quality Act including authoring a mitigated negative declaration for the construction of a dam; drafting sections of an environmental impact report dealing with climate change; analyzing and commenting on administrative draft environmental impact reports and their supporting technical studies; and CEQA litigation.
Assist clients in complying with the California Surface Mining and Reclamation Act.
Conduct environmental and regulatory due diligence for various mining operations.
Draft mining, grazing, and agricultural leases.
Assist in responding to enforcement actions brought by Regional Water Quality Control Boards.
