T. Kevin Dunnigan is chairman of the board, president, and chief executive officer of Thomas & Betts Corporation.
Dunnigan began his career with Thomas & Betts in 1962 as a sales representative for the company's Canadian subsidiary. Over the next decade, he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Canadian operations including district manager, vice president of marketing, and president.
In 1973, Dunnigan was named vice president and general manager of the company's North American Electrical Division and in 1974 became its president. In 1975, he was elected a director of the corporation and a corporate officer. In 1980, he was promoted to president and chief operating officer of the parent company, a position he held until January 1985, when he was named chief executive officer.
In 1992, Dunnigan was elected chairman of the board of directors. In 1996, he retired from active management while continuing as the company's non-executive chairman. He returned to active management in August 2000.
Dunnigan is also a member of the board of directors of C.R. Bard, Pro Mach, Inc. and Imagistics International Inc. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Loyola University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
