Mr. Florenz is the managing director of CBIZ Valuation Group's Machinery and Equipment Practice. Mr. Florenz has over 17 years of tangible asset valuation experience. He has performed valuations domestically and internationally for mergers, acquisitions and other financial reporting requirements including goodwill testing/impairment and long-lived asset impairment. He has also performed valuations for federal and international tax purposes, including allocation of purchase price, international tax strategies and debt forgiveness. Mr. Florenz has also performed valuation engagements for due diligence purposes, secured lending transactions, leasing transactions, property tax appeal, litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Florenz has served clients in various industries including broadcasting, medical/healthcare, metal working, mining, paper, plastics, printing, semiconductor manufacturing, steel production, telecommunications, textiles and transportation (aircraft, rail, marine and trucking). Prior to joining CBIZ Valuation Group, Mr. Florenz was managing principal of Peritus Valuation Advisory Services (PVAS), a firm that he founded in 2005. Prior to founding PVAS, Mr. Florenz was a vice president and managing principal with American Appraisal Associates. He was also an executive vice president and chief operating officer for DoveBid Valuation Services, Inc. where he was responsible for managing the North American Valuation Practice. Before joining DoveBid, Mr. Florenz was the national practice leader - tangible asset valuation at KPMG LLP/KPMG Consulting. Mr. Florenz has also worked in the valuation practice at Ernst & Young LLP and for The CIT Group in their Equipment Management Group. Mr. Florenz graduated with a bachelor of business administration in finance from St. Bonaventure University. Additionally, he has completed several equipment leasing association programs including an introduction to equipment leasing and the basics of residual forecasting, as well as courses developed by the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Florenz is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers. |
