Kevin M. Butler, 51, is a vice president of Delphi Corporation, human resource management (HRM). He is responsible for oversight of human resources worldwide. He is also a member of the Delphi Strategy Board, the company's top policy-making group. Additionally, Butler serves as the executive champion for Delphi's Personnel Task Team.
Butler began his career in the General Motors (GM) Chevrolet Motor Division in 1976. He held a series of assignments including production supervisor, plant personnel manager, senior health care administrator, senior administrator of classified employee compensation and manager of executive compensation. In 1989, he became director of human resources for GM's former Hydramatic Division Ypsilanti operations.
In 1991, Butler became director of GM Health Care Plans and in February 1995, he was promoted to general director of GM's Health Care Initiatives staff.
Butler joined Delphi in 1997 at Delphi Delco Electronics Systems as general director of human resources. He was named to his current position effective January 2000.
Butler earned bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 1977 and 1979 respectively. He is an advisory board member for Xavier University Health Administration and member of the board for the American Society of Employers.
