Mr. Prey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctorate degree from George Mason University. While working on his undergraduate degree, Mr. Prey did research in database systems, information retrieval, and distributed searching. He is a co-author of several technical papers including conference papers presented at SIGIR'98 and SIGIR'99, an international conference on information retrieval. For his research, he received the Undergraduate Research Award 1999-2000.
At George Mason University, Mr. Prey completed the Patent Law Track, an intense concentration in intellectual property law, and was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society. While working on his law degree, he also did patent prosecution work as a law clerk at a Washington, DC area firm.
Mr. Prey joined Kenyon & Kenyon as a summer associate in 2002 and is currently an associate in the New York office. Mr. Prey works primarily on patent litigation and his practice covers a range of technological fields, including: automotive systems, medical devices, digital cameras, computer software, and Internet-based business systems. Mr. Prey's work also includes advising clients on trade secret issues as well as providing non-infringement, invalidity, and unenforceability opinions. |
