Mr. Sheehan is Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Flowserve Corporation. He was named to this position in 2005. He is also a General Partner of CID Equity Partners. He joined CID in 1994 after more than 22 years in senior-level management and executive positions with Cummins Engine Company Inc.
At Cummins he served as Vice President-Components Group where he was responsible for the worldwide operations of its components division. During his career at Cummins Mr. Sheehan also served as Vice President-Worldwide Parts and Service and Vice President-Computer Systems and Telecommunications. He also led Cummins’ venture group which established and managed a number of high growth entrepreneurial companies. Before that he worked for three years as a Traffic Manager for the New England Telephone Company before attending Harvard.
Mr. Sheehan has been a Director of Flowserve Corporation and one of its predecessor companies since 1990. He is also a Director of eight CID portfolio companies: Geodesic SmartSignal One Call Communications SPS Commerce LDMI and Emerald BioAgriculture. He is a past Director of the Auburn Foundry Group and of the Maxon Corporation of Muncie Ind. He is currently a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Mr. Sheehan holds a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
