Description of Practice:A partner in the Los Angeles office, Kevin Corbett concentrates his practice in real estate. He has a broad, diverse practice in which he represents institutional clients nationwide in the purchase and sale, leasing, financing and management of real estate assets. He has extensive experience structuring complex real estate transactions, particularly for tax exempt investors. He has negotiated and closed the purchase and sale of billions of dollars in commercial real estate assets. He represents some of the largest institutional landlords in California in leasing matters. For 12 years, he was in-house counsel for CB Richard Ellis Investors, LLC, one of the largest real estate investment firms in the world. While at CB, in addition to his responsibilities for legal affairs, he worked extensively in new business development, and was instrumental in the development of new investment products, including CB's Commercial Mortgage Funds. At the time of leaving CB to return to private law practice, he was the chief legal officer of the investment management group. He is admitted to the Bar for the practice of law in California, Maine, Massachusetts and Missouri.
Educational History:Mr. Corbett received his B.A. from Cornell University in 1977, his J.D. from The Boston University School of Law in 1980, and his M.B.A. from The Anderson School at U.C.L.A. in 1986. |
