Kerry R. Thompson is a paralegal in the firm’s intellectual property group. The focus of her work is in trademark matters, including worldwide trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance and due diligence. Kerry has experience with the challenges and demands of managing substantial trademark portfolios and also works in U.S. patent and copyright prosecution. Kerry’s areas of expertise include: preparing trademark documents for attorney review prior to filing with State offices and the United States Patent and Trademark Office preparing communications with foreign counsel for trademark clearance, registration, maintenance, due diligence and ownership transfers corresponding with clients regarding filing deadlines and obtaining information necessary for completion of trademark documents updating and maintaining the Intellectual Property central docketing system, including docketing of incoming and outgoing domestic and foreign correspondence in the trademark, patent and copyright areas performing worldwide trademark, copyright and patent searching at attorney and client request Kerry began working in the firm’s intellectual property group in January of 2000, and received her Paralegal Certificate from Minnesota Paralegal Institute in 2002. She graduated cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. |
