Ms. Bentfield is a Senior Policy Advisor in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Washington, D.C., office and a member of the Government Relations Group. Ms. Bentfield possesses more than a decade of experience in government relations both in the private and public sectors. She provides extensive government relations support for legislative strategy, the federal appropriations process and political advocacy. She assists clients in the areas of economic development, justice, emerging technology, financial services, defense and education. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bentfield worked for three years in a large Washington, D.C. government relations firm. In that role, she secured federal appropriations for hospitals, universities and other non-profit organizations. In addition, she acted as the federal liaison to the State of Hawaii and worked on city water issues. Ms. Bentfield served in Governor William Weld's (R-MA) Office of Federal Relations in Washington, D.C., assisting the coordination of state issues impacted by the federal government. Ms. Bentfield's first introduction to Washington, D.C., was working for her hometown congressman, Representative Jim Kolbe (R-AZ). |
