Kent joined SensorTran in 2004 as the Company’s CEO and President. From 1998-2003 Kent served as President and CEO of Extreme Devices, Inc., a semi-conductor fabrication company that produced wide-bandgap devices. While at Extreme Devices, Kent raised $35 million in venture capital. In 2003, he led the sale of a division of the company to a Fortune 500 acquirer. Before Extreme Devices, Kent was VP of Business Development at SPEC, where he was responsible for strategic planning, generating value from existing intellectual property, and commercializing SPEC’s technologies and products. Prior to joining SPEC, Kent spent eleven years at the 3M Company where he last oversaw a product lab responsible for developing 3M’s core multilayer flex circuit technologies. He led the team that introduced 3M’s first multilayer flex circuit products. Kent earned an MBA from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota and a B.S in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University formerly General Motors Institute. |
