Kent Curry is director--regulatory services for Indiana Michigan Power. He and his staff administer regulatory matters for both Indiana and Michigan.
Curry joined the AEP Service Corporation in September 1980 as a customer accounting auditor performing operational reviews of the area offices of Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M) and Michigan Power Company. In 1984, he joined I&M as a rate analyst in the Rates and Tariffs Department. In 1986, he was promoted to general records accounts supervisor in I&M's Accounting Department, then returned to the Rates and Tariffs Department in 1990 as rates and tariffs supervisor, where he managed rate filings and other regulatory reports. In 1996, he was promoted to director of the Fort Wayne Regulatory Services office.
Curry has testified before both the Indiana and Michigan regulatory commissions and has served as chair of the regulatory committees of the Indiana Energy Association (IEA) and Michigan Electric & Gas Association (MEGA).
He is a native of Michigan and a long-time resident of Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in accounting, and has taken various graduate courses at Indiana University/Purdue University in Fort Wayne.
In 1997 he completed the AEP Management Development Program at Ohio State University, and is a certified public accountant licensed in Indiana. |
