Kenni B. Merritt focuses her practice on employee benefits law, executive compensation and ERISA. Combining her business law background with specific experience in employee benefits, Ms. Merritt represents a diverse array of public and private companies in the design, implementation and administration of all types of employee benefit plans and deferred compensation arrangements. Ms. Merritt has worked extensively with pension, profit sharing, 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, 457 plans, ESOPs, nonqualified deferred compensation plans and plan mergers and terminations. She also works with insured and self-insured group health plans, administrator and provider contracts, severance plans, 125 cafeteria plans and retiree health benefits. Ms. Merritt counsels clients on executive compensation, employee benefits matters in mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary responsibility issues and reporting and disclosure obligations under ERISA, voluntary compliance programs and employee benefits matters in bankruptcy and reorganizations. She has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, U. S. Department of Labor and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. She has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Oklahoma City University School of Law, teaching Employee Benefits Law.
