Mr. Ken Wallace has over 37 years of experience in the advertising business. Mr. Wallace has held a variety of senior positions in sales and marketing, the last of which was Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing at G+J USA Publishing, a division of Bertelsmann, a multi-billion dollar privately held company. Mr. Wallace was responsible for all strategic marketing for its print publishing and television properties. Prior to his position at G+J, Mr. Wallace worked for eGreetings, an online greeting card company as Senior Vice President and Director of Sales. Mr. Wallace is credited with growing the business through the development of new forms of revenue through innovative marketing programs and leveraging consumer databases to capture buying habits and trends. From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Wallace rebuilt the marketing and sales operations of Prevention magazine. In part as a result of Mr. Wallace’s efforts, Prevention's advertising sales increased by over 50% during his tenure. Mr. Wallace produced similar results in ad revenue as Vice President of Ad Sales at Parade magazine where he turned an organization with a consistent history of declining ad sales into an industry revenue leader with five consecutive years of double digit ad sales gains. Mr. Wallace also has significant experience as a board member. He has served as chair of the marketing committee of the Magazine Publishers Association and actively promoted magazines as a vital advertising vehicle to major advertisers and agencies. He was the first media industry executive ever appointed to the board of directors of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association. In addition, he is an active philanthropist and former board of advisors member of Make-A-Wish Foundation of metro New York. He is currently on the board of directors of Promesa, a Bronx-based charitable organization. |
