Kenneth B. Orr, Senior Associate, is President Emeritus of Presbyterian College, where he led efforts that increased the endowment from six million to sixty million dollars. Previously he served as President of the Presbyterian School of Christian Education.
Dr. Orr has served on the Boards of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Council of Independent Colleges and Universities, and as President of the National Association of Presbyterian Colleges. By appointment of Secretary of Education Richard Riley, he served for eight years on the National Advisory Committee for Institutional Quality and Integrity of the U.S. Department of Education.
A native of Charlotte and a graduate of Duke University, he earned two graduate degrees in theology from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan's Center for the Study of Higher Education. |
