Mr. Vaught was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer and elected to the Greene County Bank Board of Directors in June 2002. He joined Greene County Bank in 1998 as a Regional President of American Fidelity Bank, an affiliate of Greene County Bank. In that position, between 1999 and 2002, he was responsible for transitioning Greene County Bank's small $50 million retail branch operation in Blount County, Tennessee, into a $250 million regional commercial bank. Mr. Vaught began his banking career in 1987 with Hamilton Bank (a SunTrust affiliate) in Johnson City, Tennessee. He later joined First Tennessee Bank in 1989 as a Commercial Loan Officer. In 1991, he was promoted to Vice President and transferred to First Tennessee Bank, Maryville, Tennessee, eventually rising to Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Manager. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in Finance. |
