Kenneth M. Bird, 58, was appointed by the Board of Directors in 2002 to fill a vacant director position. He has been Superintendent of the Westside Community Schools in Omaha, Nebraska since 1992 and has held various administrative positions in the District since 1981. Dr. Bird was the Nebraska Superintendent of the Year in 1998 and has been recognized for his technology leadership and vision. Dr. Bird is very active in professional organizations on the local, state, and national levels, and also serves on a number of community and civic boards. |
