Currently Mr. White is Executive Director of Finansa Public Company Limited, a regional merchant bank and investment management company headquartered in Bangkok. Mr. White also serves as Chairman of Finansa Credit Ltd., and Executive Director of Finansa Asset Management Ltd. Mr. White has lived in Thailand continuously since 1986. Mr. White enjoys an extensive network of personal contacts with senior government and regulatory officials, and with prominent business leaders.
Prior to joining Finansa, Mr. White served as Managing Director of Pacific Siam Strategic Consulting Company Ltd., a firm that provides advisory services to leading Thai and multinational financial institutions. Mr. White was previously employed as General Manager for Thailand by the Chase Manhattan Bank. He also had regional responsibility for Myanmar and Indochina. Prior to his Bangkok posting he served for over twenty years in overseas management positions with Chase.
Mr. White is a frequent speaker at Corporate Finance seminars, particularly in the areas of corporate valuation, risk management, and corporate governance. He has traveled overseas with the Board of Investment to promote foreign investment in Thailand, and travels extensively in the region to build market knowledge. He serves as Independent Director and Audit Committee Member for publicly listed corporations, Minor International PCL, and Goodyear (Thailand) PCL. He is a Fellow Member of the Thai Institute of Directors and serves as a Director of that organization. He has also served as Director and Treasurer of the Siam Society; and Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce where he is currently the Chairman of its Business Economics Committee. |
