Kenneth Hansen has resided or worked in Irvine since 1972 when he was transferred as Vice President and Manager of the Orange County Airport Office of United California Bank (a $280 million office). Previously Mr. Hansen served as cashier and CFO with Bank of Santa Ana (1965). In his nine-year career with UCB (later renamed First Interstate Bank), Mr. Hansen was assigned to the Retail Lending Division, Regional Credit Administration. In 1976, Mr. Hansen left UCB and purchased the PM Company, engaging in real estate development, construction and management. In 1983, he returned to banking serving as interim President of a troubled national bank in Santa Ana. The objective was to correct this bank’s real estate loan problems but the condition of the bank did not lend itself to that objective.
Since then, Mr. Hansen formed a financial services company to develop and provide an outsourced retail-lending conduit. In 2001, Mr. Hansen was proposed President of E-Comm National Bank (In Organization). The proposed bank was unable to fully capitalize. Since 1994 Mr. Hansen has served the City of Irvine as the first Chairman of the Investment Committee, Transportation Commissioner and is currently a member of the Irvine Planning Commission. He attended the University of Colorado and a graduate banking school program at Stanford University. Mr. Hansen will serve as an outside director and brings strong banking and finance experience to the Bank. |
