Mr. Nussbacher has been an Affymetrix Fellow since 2000, having served as Executive Vice President of Affymetrix from 1995 and as Chief Financial Officer from 1995 to 1997. Previously, he was Executive Vice President for Business and Legal Affairs of Affymax Research Institute. In addition to Symyx, he is a director of Biospect Inc., Fluidigm Corporation, and Xenoport Inc. At Affymax and Affymetrix, he played a central role in the development and implementation of business strategies for creating value in technology-based companies. His experience includes commercial and scientific collaborations, intellectual property licensing, and public and private financings. Mr. Nussbacher holds a B.S. in physics from Cooper Union and a J.D. degree from Duke University. |
