As the firm's managing director, Ken leads a transactional corporate practice with an emphasis on venture capital and growth companies. Before becoming a founding partner of Merritt & Merritt & Moulton, Ken was associated with the Wall Street firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he developed his expertise in mergers, acquisitions and private placements and public offerings of equity and debt. For over 25 years, Ken has concentrated in general corporate and securities transactions as well as the formation and governance activities of privately- and publicly-held companies, non-profit organizations, venture capital firms and financial institutions.Ken is deeply involved in the entrepreneurial community and active in multiple professional organizations and various angel and investor groups. In 1989, Ken founded the Vermont Venture Network, which continues to meet monthly in Burlington to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and others involved in the entrepreneurial process for the purpose of stimulating the regional economy. He is a Co-Chair of the Vermont Investors Forum and a member of the Advisory Board for the Vermont Tech Enterprise Center located in Randolph, Vermont. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Vermont Hi-Tech Initiative and the Vermont Patent and Trademark Depository Library and a participant in the Leadership Champlain Program sponsored by the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce.An honors graduate of the University of Michigan, Ken received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1979. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1979, to the New York Bar in 1980 and to the Vermont Bar in 1988.
