Ken Ibbs joined Bookham in 2006 and is now responsible for the Photonics Tools, Industrial Systems and Industrial Optical filters portfolio of businesses. He has 30 years’ experience in the Lasers and Photonics Industry. Dr. Ibbs has previously served in a number of leading Laser companies most recently as the Director of Marketing at JDSU lasers. He has also held senior marketing and sales roles at Lightwave Electronics, Newport Corp. and Coherent. Having lived and worked in the US, Japan and Europe, Ken brings a wide range of experience in global high technology marketing.
Dr. Ibbs holds a Ph.D in Laser Spectroscopy from the University of Sussex in the UK and was a Research Fellow at the University of Texas. He has published numerous papers on lasers and their application in materials processing, and co-authored the book Laser Chemical Processing for Microelectronics. |
