Mr. Hirsch has more than 17 years of investment banking experience with a demonstrated expertise in creating innovative capital structures, executing complex transactions and raising a broad range of capital for growing and mature companies across a number of industries. Prior to Co-Founding Western Reserve, Mr. Hirsch was a Managing Director in KeyBanc Capital Markets Private Debt Finance Group where he was responsible for originating and executing private placements of senior and mezzanine debt securities.
Mr. Hirsch was formerly a Managing Director and Manager of McDonald Investments’ Growth Finance Group and was responsible for originating and executing private placements of debt, mezzanine and non-control equity securities, as well as public debt offerings, including senior notes and high yield securities. Prior to joining McDonald Investments, Mr. Hirsch managed the Private Placement practice for Carlton, McCreary, Holmes & Company. Mr. Hirsch began his investment banking career at First Chicago Capital Markets, Inc. where he was involved in executing leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations.
The types of transactions that Mr. Hirsch has executed include acquisition financing, recapitalizations and debtor-in-possession financings in a broad range of industries including steel processing, plastics and chemicals, industrial manufacturing, food processing and technology. Representative transactions include numerous private placements of debt and public offerings of equity for Gibraltar Steel Corp., recapitalizations of Hawk Corporation and OMCO Corp. and private placements of debt securities for Myers Industries, A. Schulman, Inc., Invacare Corp. and Nordson Corporation.
Mr. Hirsch is on the Board of Directors of The Gathering Place.
Mr. Hirsch’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (departmental honors) from Kenyon College and a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from The University of Chicago. |
