Kenneth A. Himmel is President, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Related Urban Development. Mr. Himmel oversees all of our mixed-use development activities. Prior to forming Related Urban Development in 1997, Mr. Himmel was the owner of Himmel and Company from 1990 to 1996, a Boston-based firm specializing in mixed-use developments, where he oversaw the development of several prominent properties, including Pacific Place in Seattle, Reston Town Center in Reston, Virginia and 730 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago. From 1978 to 1983, Mr. Himmel was the executive vice president of Urban Investment and Development Company in Chicago where, among other projects, he was responsible for the development of Copley Place in Boston and Water Tower Place in Chicago. Mr. Himmel graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration with a Bachelor of Science degree and from The College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science degree. |
