Ken is the founder and President of the Stripes Group LLC ("SG"). He formed SG in January 2003. SG is a holding company that operates a private equity investment business and hedge funds business. Prior to forming Stripes Group, Ken was a Managing Director with Internet Capital Group (NASDAQ: ICGE), which he co founded in 1995. In his capacity as a Managing Director of ICG, he led many of ICG’s most successful investments, including Matchlogic SMART Technologies and TradeX. Ken was founder and Chairman of ICG Asia, a Hong Kong listed joint venture with Hutchison Whampoa and was responsible for recruiting many of ICG’s key executives and activating its fundraising efforts. Prior to forming ICG Ken was the director of West Coast operations for Safeguard Scientifics Inc. (NYSE: SFE) a $2 billion public corporation, and TL Ventures a venture capital partnership with an excess of $500MM under management. Ken was named the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000 and received the Golden Plate Award from the American Academy of Achievement a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people. He led the formation of The Fox Challenge, a program to introduce entrepreneurship to students at his alma mater The Pennsylvania State University.
