Current responsibility
Ken is a principal with the Milwaukee office of Milliman and joined the firm in 1998. He manages a practice dedicated to analyzing the financial risks associated with issuing and servicing mortgages, mortgage guaranty insurance, and credit enhancement structures.
Experience
Ken's area of expertise is in advising banks, mortgage banks, and mortgage insurance companies, both domestically and internationally, on credit risk management and credit enhancement. Ken has consulted to the majority of the mortgage insurers that comprise the private mortgage insurance industry on topics including pricing, financial analysis, risk management, structured transactions, and credit enhancement analysis. He has also served as the lead consultant on many of the firm's assignments assisting banks in establishing mortgage captive reinsurance subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Milliman, Ken held management positions at several mortgage insurance companies and one of the nation's largest mortgage originators, where he specialized in risk management, loss modeling, product development, mortgage scoring, mortgage reinsurance, and negotiating structured transactions.
Another of Ken's areas of expertise is Information Technology (IT). Ken has extensive experience assisting bank clients implement strategic technologies, such as client/server architectures, data warehousing, decision systems, and Internet-based applications.

Ken has spoken on the topics of captive reinsurance and mortgage credit risk at several industry meetings and has authored an article for Captive Review magazine on mortgage captive reinsurance.
