Ken Sims has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of business development, marketing and sales roles. He has a strong track record of developing innovative go to market strategies and building key strategic relationships to accelerate business growth.
Before joining KACE, he was VP of Business Development and Marketing at Zmanda, a provider of open source backup software. Prior to this, Sims served as a Strategic Adviser to Oracle, following their acquisition of Oblix, an Identity Management software vendor. At Oblix, he was VP of Marketing and Business Development and was responsible for marketing, channel sales, alliances and European field operations. In this capacity, Sims played a lead role in driving Oblix's leadership position in the Identity & Access management software market. Sims also held key positions at content delivery start ups, Inktomi and Enjoyweb. Earlier, Sims spent nearly nine years at SGI, in a variety of sales and sales management roles, where he was instrumental in developing the company's entertainment technology business.
Sims received a BA in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. |
