Ken Potashner’s extensive career in the computer industry includes President/CEO/Chairman of SONICblue, a leader in products for the digital media, entertainment, and consumer electronics markets where leading MP3 players and DVRs were brought to market . He also served as President/CEO/Chairman of Maxwell Technologies, where he and his team successfully turned around the company in 1997 while transitioning it from a defense focus to a commercial focus, evidenced by a substantial increase in market capitalization. Prior to leading Maxwell Technologies, Mr. Potashner was executive vice president and general manager of Conner Peripherals Disk Drive Operations, where he helped the company become a leading supplier of hard drives. He also worked in management at Quantum, DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation), and Texas Instruments. Mr Potashner currently serves on the board of several companies including Newport Corporation, V-audit, HouseRebate,com, and Anycomm Corp. He is an advisor and investor in several other corporations. Mr. Potashner received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Lafayette College and a masters’ degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University. |
