Ken came to Exostar in 2001 from Columbia Energy Group, a Fortune-100 energy company, where he served as assistant general counsel. Ken provides guidance on all legal matters at Exostar and is part of executive management team. He has also held leadership positions within private midsize Wall Street law firms. Ken Marks brings experience in both corporate and business law including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities compliance, negotiation and documentation and many years of active participation in the high technology industry.
Ken graduated from Columbia University School of Law in 1977, after receiving his undergraduate degree from Columbia College. He has attended executive development programs at the University of Maryland and The Wharton School. Ken has been active in both professional and community organizations, including the American Bar Association and as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He also served as a public arbitrator of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, as a member of the board of directors of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and as a member of Minority Partners in Majority-Owned Law Firms.
Ken lives in Northern Virginia and has one daughter. He is an avid photographer, scuba diver, auto racing fan, and traveler. He has built his home computers from parts since 1981. |
