Ken Greenberg wanted to be a composer. His parents wanted him to be a doctor. Somewhere along the way, he became a banker. Maybe it was the low tuition at Brooklyn College. Who can say? With a BA in Economics and a minor in Psychology, banking seemed to be the ideal choice. (Perfect for his dry wit.) Ken's creativity was naturally frustrated in banks, as they were too slow to adapt change. "I always felt I was cruising along at 90 miles an hour, and they were first contemplating whether to shift out of first gear," said Ken. "I was an early technology adopter. I haven't met a fast computer or gadget I didn't like," he says. "That's what helps Austin & Williams stay on the cutting edge of database marketing." A gifted composer and musician, Ken and his wife wrote a number of songs in the mid '70s under the pen name Austin. They sent their song, "What's So Special About Christmas?," to Bing Crosby, who wrote back two letters saying how much he liked the song. Ken plans to pursue having it published and recorded. His Expertise Ken is an expert in database marketing and GIS Mapping. "Mapping allows companies to visualize the data, which helps to demystify it and removes the gray cloud of confusion," Ken explained. "It's the old 'a picture is worth a thousand words' concept." Whether speaking at banking conferences around the country or just in front of a local client or prospect, Ken enjoys the interaction with people. (And of course, the great lunches.) About the A&W Team "We have a great team - talented, dedicated, creative professionals who love their job and do what it takes to exceed our clients' expectations," said Ken. His Interests Ken enjoys composing music, writing songs, traveling and ogling high-tech luxury gadgets. |
