Mr. Bell joined Orbital in September 2001 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this role he is responsible for the company’s enterprise-class computing platforms and applications, voice and data networks, and information security.
Prior to joining Orbital, Mr. Bell was a Principal and the CIO of James Martin & Co., a software development and integration consultancy with offices in Europe, Asia and the US. While with JM & Co., Mr. Bell started and grew consulting practices in the US and Europe and was instrumental in developing the company’s expertise at using the Internet and its off-shore software application center to reduce development margins and speed implementation.
His earlier experience includes consulting for Touche Ross (now Deloitte and Touche) and service in the US Army.
Mr. Bell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Virginia Tech and both Master of Arts (English) and Master of Science (Computer Science) degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
