Ken Stickland, Executive Vice-President, Legal, is responsible for the corporation’s legal affairs, sustainable development and environment, health and safety. In addition, Mr. Stickland provides guidance to country managers for Mexico and Australia.
Prior to joining TransAlta in 2001, Mr. Stickland was a partner with the Calgary law firm of Burnet, Duckworth and Palmer where he practiced law for 20 years. As the head of the firm’s energy business unit, Mr. Stickland provided business and legal solutions for his clients.
Mr. Stickland has a bachelor of commerce and a bachelor of laws from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Stickland is a member of various professional associations and a past director and treasurer of the Canadian Petroleum Law Foundation. Mr. Stickland has been a director of several publicly listed companies. |
