Ken Jones is a member of Jones Waldo’s real estate and corporate departments, and his practice focuses in the areas of real property and commercial transactions. Ken was named one of Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business Magazine in 2006-2008. His business law experience includes mergers and acquisitions, asset purchase agreements, commercial financing transactions, business, tax, and estate planning for closely-held entities and their owners, and a wide variety of business contracts. His real property experience includes assisting clients in Utah, the intermountain west and nationwide with real property matters involving retail, office, and industrial leases, real estate development, real estate purchase and sale transactions, easements, real property financing, condominium and home-owner association representation, real property tax disputes, boundary and easement disputes, zoning, foreclosures and other real-estate related matters.
Ken was born in DeRidder, Louisiana and grew up in Utah. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in 1980 with degrees in Management and Finance, and graduated from University of Utah College of Law in 1983, where he was a member of the Utah Law Review and the Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and the State Bar of Texas, holds an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and serves on the governing board of the MiDuole cycling club. |
