As president of Ryland Homes' Texas region, Ken Trainer oversees division operations in the Texas markets of Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston.
Mr. Trainer is an 18-year veteran of Ryland and the homebuilding industry. He was promoted to his current position after leading Ryland's Austin/San Antonio division as president for four years.
Mr. Trainer originally joined Ryland in 1989 in the Houston division, where he held various positions in homebuilding, sales and operations management before being promoted to San Antonio division manager in 1998. He was named Austin/San Antonio division president in December 2002 and Texas region president in December 2006.
A graduate of Texas State University, Mr. Trainer earned a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning.
