Kelly Murray is in her first season as the Assistant Director of Communications, joining the ECHL in December 2006.
Murray assists with the creation and distribution of press releases, ECHL This Week and ECHL Today as well as in the update of content and creation of graphic elements on the official league web site, www.ECHL.com. She will also be responsible for the layout and design of the ECHL Official Guide and Record Book and the ECHL Schedule Book.
Prior to joining the ECHL, the Houston native worked as a member of the sports staff at The Houston Chronicle with the agate department and participating in planning meetings while also assisting with game-day coverage of the Houston Astros, the Houston Texans and the Houston Rockets. She worked one season as an intern for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League assisting in the production of the media guide as well as press releases, feature stories and weekly updates and assisting the media on game day.
Murray worked as a student assistant in the University of Houston Sports Information Department, serving as a media liaison for coaches and players while also producing team media guides and press releases. She was awarded her bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in political science from the University of Houston. |
