Kellam's practice focuses on labor and employment law, employment litigation and commercial litigation. Kellam joined the firm in 2006 after practicing in Birmingham and Memphis with labor and employment specialty firms.
Kellam has represented employers in the entire range of labor and employment litigation from Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, ERISA and NLRA to claims of invasion of privacy, negligent supervision, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, and breach of contract. Kellam has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts. His cases have ranged from single-plaintiff administrative proceedings to multi-plaintiff, complex litigation. In addition to his litigation practice, Kellam regularly counsels clients on preventive employment measures and on handling risk-laden employment decisions.
Kellam received his B.S. in Russian, as well as Natural Resources, from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where he was a member of the Order of the Gownsmen. Kellam received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a member of the Bench and Bar Honor Society and the Moot Court Board.
Kellam is licensed to practice law in Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits and the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama, Eastern and Western Districts of Tennessee, the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the Northern District of Texas. |
