Keith Melnick brings nearly a decade of experience in the travel industry primarily in strategy development and analysis, business development, and revenue management. As VP Business Development at Kayak.com, he is responsible for developing and managing commercial relationships with travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, and rental car agencies, as well as structuring partnership agreements with distribution partners.
Prior to joining Kayak.com, Keith was a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he managed case teams focusing primarily on travel, e-commerce, financial services and industrial goods. During his time at the Boston Consulting Group, Keith was selected for the Ambassador Program for BCG's Melbourne Australia office. Additionally, while with BCG he helped found the online travel agency Orbitz.
Prior to BCG, Keith worked in Revenue Management and Finance at American Airlines. While with American, he managed teams focused on American's European and Transpacific route networks including pricing and inventory decisions, short-term and long-term revenue forecasting and ad hoc analysis related to each market. Keith was also responsible for financial analysis across all aspects of the airline's business, including capital spending projects such as aircraft acquisitions and refurbishments and airport expansions. In addition, he helped manage the airline's operating budget.
Keith holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance with highest honors from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. |
